The National Resistance Movement (Swahili: Harakati za Upinzani za Kitaifa; abbreviated NRM), commonly referred to simply as NRM, is the ruling political party in Uganda.

History

The National Resistance Movement (NRM) was founded as a liberation movement that waged a guerrilla war through its rebel wing National Resistance Army that toppled government in 1986. The National Resistance Movement restored political stability,security, law and order, Constitutionalism and the rule of law;[1]
